Art has become one of the loves of my life with my retirement years. After having raised my family of five children ages ago and completing a career in mental health nursing and counseling, I undertook the task of once again reinventing my lifestyle through making art. Or, has art made me? It has been a wonderful journey and has satisfied me in continuing my life long learning.
I began being devoted to art in my pre-retirement years in baby steps studying under various instructors in Wisconsin and Florida. I will always be a student but am willing to share what I have learned along the way.
As a member of the Palm Beach Watercolor Society and the Geneva Lakes Art Foundation, I have been fortunate to expand my understanding of art through the eyes of other artists both amateur and professional.
My husband and I purchased our retirement home in Briny in 1999 using it as rental property until we retired. When we finally were able to live in Briny, I joined the Briny Art League. It didn’t take long before I became an officer, and I've been serving as an officer ever since. I started out as 1st vice president, then president, then 1st vice president, and now for the 2021-2022 season I will be serving as treasurer.
